To Sendai Station

You can get to Sendai Station several ways. Since the number of flights to Sendai Airport is limited, using a Tokyo airport (Haneda or Narita) would be more convenient. Haneda is the closest airport to Tokyo City and Tokyo Station. We recommend that you use Haneda first. You should try Tohoku Shinkansen for domestic transportation. The Shinkansen departs every 10–20 minutes, so it is convenient and faster than a domestic flight.

If you plan to take a train, Japan Railway Company (JR) offers the JR EAST PASS, a special discounted pass for visitors from abroad. It allows unlimited rides on lines from Haneda (Tokyo Monorail, Yamanote line), Narita (JR Narita Express) and Tohoku Shinkansen, with reserved seats. The cost is 22,000 yen/person, which is slightly cheaper than the normal round-trip fee to Sendai.

Further information about travelling is available here.
