The development of social cognition in young children

Speaker Bio

Eva E. Chen is an Associate Professor in the College of Education at National Tsing Hua University; she is also an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Division of Social Science at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.

Dr. Chen's research sits at the intersection of developmental, social, and cognitive psychology. She is interested in the learning processes of young children and adults across different social and cultural backgrounds; her studies have involved participants from a variety of racial groups in the U.S., Taiwan, and Hong Kong as well as in many other countries and regions. She has also investigated early childhood education policies and its impact on young East Asian children's learning.
