『忘れたい 忘れない ~十五たびの春~』

We attended a musical produced by the SCS Musical Institute.

On March 14, I attended the musical “忘れたい 忘れない ~十五たびの春~” at the Wakabayashi Ward Cultural Center Hall, organized by the SCS Musical Research Institute.

The story depicted the grief and despair of those who lost precious people in the Great East Japan Earthquake, while also conveying how the changing aspects of nature—such as cherry blossoms and the insects around them—can heal people's hearts and give them the courage to move forward.

Emotions were expressed through song, dance, facial expressions, and movement, moving many in the audience to tears, and I myself was deeply touched.

What particularly struck me was that researchers and professors who could not fully understand Japanese were also strongly moved by the performance—a powerful reminder of the ability of nonverbal expression to transcend language. It was truly a valuable experience.
